Saint Visori d'A Buerda

Saint Visorius was a hermit of Frankish origin who settled in the mountains of Sobrarbe to dedicate himself to a contemplative life around the year 1000, and who died at an unknown date at the hands of the Muslims of Al-Andalus. Little information is available about this saint, whose cult was and remains restricted to Aragonese lands and certain places in the Hautes-Pyrénées department of France, where he is known by the Occitan name Sent Missolin. There is no official record of his recognition or canonization by the Catholic Church, although his popular canonization is very ancient.
