Biography

Saint Evette is the patron saint of the fishermen of the Bay of Audierne. Since the 15th century, she has been known successively as Dezmat, Dumette, Damet, Devet, Eavet, and Evette. It is believed that she was one of the companions of Saint Ursula in the 4th century and the sister of Saint Devet, the patron saint of Plozévet.
