Veterin (4th or 5th century), also known as Veterinus or Veterin of Gennes, is a Christian saint and confessor, a disciple of Saint Martin, who evangelized the Anjou regions around the Loire. His feast day is February 23. He is associated with Saint Doucelin of Allonnes (feast day July 8), who was also a disciple of Saint Martin of Tours and evangelized the neighboring region of Allonnes. Two other saints participated in the evangelization of the region: Maxenceul at Cunault, and Macarius at Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges and Roussay.
