Sylvain of Rome, also known as Saint Silvanus of Rome or Saint Silvanus (Sanctus Sylvanus or Silvanus in Latin), is a Catholic and Orthodox saint. Silvanus is the name of the god of the forests and a surname given to the god Mars, a forest deity in Latin mythology.
