Saint St. Crida
Biography
Crida (7th century) was a saint and princess of Leinster. Her feast day is November 30. Saint Crida, or Crite, was either the daughter of Mark, King of Cornwall, or of an Irish king. She is considered to have been the mother of Saint Boethius. Saint Crida is venerated as the patron saint of Creed, Cornwall, where there is a church dedicated to her. The earliest surviving records of Saint Crida date to the 10th century. She is commemorated on the first Sunday following that date.
