Biography

Saint Serenicus, also known as Cerenicus or Cenericus (died May 7, 669), was a Catholic saint and monk. He was a deacon in Le Mans. A pilgrimage to the tombs of Saint Martin of Tours and Saint Julian of Le Mans led him to change his way of life. Serenicus dedicated the remainder of his life to asceticism, living in seclusion. His feast day is celebrated on the anniversary of his death (May 7).
