Biography

Ilya of Pechersk (Saint Ilya Muromets) was a monk of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. A saint of the Russian Orthodox Church, he is venerated as a venerable, with feast days on September 28 (October 11) in the Synaxis of the Venerable Fathers of the Kiev Pechersk Near Caves and on December 19 (January 1).
