Saint Saint Anthimus of Chios

Saint Anthimos of Chios (Chios, 1869 – February 15, 1960), born Argyrios K. Vagianos, was a 20th-century Greek monk widely known for his monastic life and his work in caring for patients with Hansen's disease. He was canonized as a saint of the Orthodox Church by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople on August 14, 1992, and his feast day is celebrated on February 15, the date of his passing.
