Blessed Roberto da Salle

Robert of Salle, born Santuccio (Salle, 1273 – Morrone del Sannio, July 18, 1341), was an Italian abbot, a disciple of the hermit Peter of Morrone, who became Pope Celestine V, and procurator general of the Celestines of the Order of Saint Benedict. He is venerated as a blessed by the Catholic Church, which celebrates his feast day on July 18.
