Biography

Publio Rodríguez Moslares, OMI (born November 12, 1912, in Tiedra; died November 28, 1936, in Paracuellos de Jarama) was a Spanish Oblate of the Immaculate Mary. After the monastery in Pozuelo was occupied by armed militias on July 22, 1936, during the Spanish Civil War, Publio Rodríguez Moslares was taken away along with his confreres, though he was initially released. He was later imprisoned again and executed on November 28 of the same year, along with twelve of his confreres. The beatification of the 22 Spanish martyrs of the Oblates, including Publio Rodríguez Moslares, took place on December 17, 2011, at the Cathedral of Madrid.
