Biography

Pelageya of Ryazan (Pelageya of Zakharovo, born Pelageya Alexandrovna Lobacheva; October 20, 1890 – December 6, 1966) was a resident of the Ryazan Region revered by some as a blessed elder and clairvoyant. She gained prominence in the 1990s due to prophecies published by her followers. Contrary to popular belief, she has not been officially canonized as a saint. Her veneration is criticized by representatives of the Church.
