Peter of the Assumption, OFM (Spanish: Pedro de la Asunción; born in Cuerva, died May 22, 1617, in Kōri) was a blessed of the Catholic Church, a martyr, and a Spanish priest of the Franciscan Order. He was a victim of anti-Catholic persecution in Japan, murdered in hatred of the faith (in odium fidei).
