Saint Paul Suzuki

Paul Suzuki (born 1563 in Owari Province, present-day Aichi Prefecture; died executed February 5, 1597, on the hills of Nagasaki) was a Japanese Catholic layman, a member of the Third Order of Saint Francis, and a catechist employed by Franciscan missionaries who fell victim to anti-Catholic persecution in Japan. He belongs to the group of the first 26 martyrs of Japan in history.
