Biography

Palamon (d. c. 330) was an abbot of the Thebaid and, together with his disciple Pachomius, the founder of the monastery of Tabennisi in 330. Following the persecutions against Christians, he withdrew to the desert and lived as a hermit, dedicated to prayer. He is known as one of the Desert Fathers.
