Saint Nefyn ach Brychan

Biography

Nefyn was a 5th-century saint and one of the 24 daughters of Brychan Brycheiniog. She married Cynfarch Cul ap Meirchion, and their children ruled Rheged (the Lake District), Strathclyde, and Gower. Her most famous son was Urien Rheged, and she was the great-grandmother of Saint Mungo, who founded St Asaph.
