Saint Maximilian Cajetan de Bertrand
Biography
Maximilian Cajetan de Bertrand, Count of Pérouse and Créhange, successor to the lords of Pëtten and Créhange, was a nobleman from the Duchy of Luxembourg. He is considered the founder of the Bissen ironworks. He lived in Septfontaines Castle for 10 years and, starting in 1727, had a forge with a smelting furnace built. A street in Bissen was named in his honor.
