Biography

Martin Luc Huin, born on October 20, 1836, in Guyonvelle, Haute-Marne, and beheaded on March 30, 1866, in Boryeong, Korea, was a missionary priest of the Paris Foreign Missions Society recognized as a martyr and saint by the Catholic Church. Martin Luc Huin is one of the 103 Korean Martyrs; he was beheaded on the beach of Galmaemot in Boryeong. A parish comprising 34 communes around Bourbonne-les-Bains is named after him today.
