Saint Mark of Athens

Mark the Athenian (Greek: Μάρκος ο Αθηναίος; c. 270 – c. 400) was a hermit and fool for Christ who was born in Athens. He is venerated as a saint in the rank of monastic saint. The feast day of Mark the Athenian is celebrated on April 5 (18). He is depicted naked, with gray hair and crossed arms.
