Biography

Marian Konopiński (Przemęt, September 10, 1907 – Dachau, January 1, 1943) was a Polish priest who died in captivity at the Dachau concentration camp, where he had been imprisoned for his opposition to the Nazi regime. He was declared a martyr and beatified by John Paul II in 1999. His commemoration is found in the Roman Martyrology on January 1.
