Biography
Mary of Edessa was a 4th-century Christian anchorite and saint. Her feast day is celebrated on October 29 in the Latin liturgical calendar. Although her historicity was questioned by a sector of the Catholic Church in 1961, she is included among the Holy Helpers and is invoked in times of betrayal of the faith or during the spiritual fall of those committed to the Gospel.
