Saint Loup de Lyon

Lupus, in Latin Lupus, was a bishop of Lyon in the mid-6th century. He is a saint of the Catholic Church and is celebrated on September 24. He is attested only once by a contemporary source, in 538, at the Council of Orléans. He was previously a monk of Île Barbe. He was not present at the council of 541. He is referred to as a metropolitan.
