Saint Éloque de Lagny
Biography
Saint Eloquius of Lagny was an Irish monk and evangelist of the mid-7th century who died in 666. A disciple and successor of Saint Fursey of Péronne as abbot of Lagny, Saint Eloquius is commemorated on December 3. In the 10th century, Saint Forannan of Waulsort had his relics transferred from Lagny to Waulsort, Belgium. The hamlet of Saint-Lot near Maison-Ponthieu in the Somme department is named after him.
