Saint Leo de Rouen

Biography
Leo of Rouen (died 900) was a hieromartyr. His feast day is March 1. According to church tradition, Saint Leo was the bishop of Rouen during the Saracen invasions. He was beheaded by them near Bayonne, of which he is still venerated as the patron saint today. However, historical research has established that Saint Leo was not the Bishop of Rouen and was mistakenly considered the head of that see.
