Biography
Justo González Lorente, O.M.I. (October 14, 1915, in Villaverde de Arcayos – July 24, 1936, in Pozuelo, Madrid) was a Spanish Oblate of the Immaculate Mary. He began attending the Oblate minor seminary in 1927 and took his first vows on August 15, 1933. On July 22, 1936, amidst the religious persecution in Spain, he was captured along with his confreres in their monastery and was executed on July 24, 1936, together with six other Oblates. The beatification of the 22 Spanish Oblate martyrs, including Justo González Lorente, took place on December 17, 2011, at the Cathedral of Madrid.
