Biography

Juan José Caballero Rodríguez, OMI (March 5, 1912, in Fuenlabrada – November 28, 1936, in Paracuellos de Jarama) was a Spanish Oblate of the Immaculate Mary. He made his first vows in the Oblate congregation on August 15, 1930, and his perpetual vows on February 25, 1936. On October 28, 1936, he was imprisoned during the Spanish Civil War and was executed on November 28 of the same year alongside twelve of his confreres. The beatification of the 22 Spanish Oblate martyrs, including Juan José Caballero Rodríguez, took place on December 17, 2011, at the Cathedral of Madrid.
