Biography

Iona of Kyiv, born Ivan Pavlovich Miroshnichenko in 1802 in Kremenchuk and died on January 9, 1902, in Kyiv, was an Orthodox saint, venerable, and wonderworker. He was respected as a starets during his lifetime. Saint Iona founded the Holy Trinity Monastery in Kyiv in the 1860s. His relics are now housed in this monastery.
