Saint John of Montemarano

Saint John of Montemarano (Montemarano, 11th century – Montemarano, April 14, 1095) was the first bishop of the Diocese of Montemarano and is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church. The document by which the Apostolic See established the Diocese of Montemarano has likely been lost, and therefore it is not known how long it existed before John's appointment; however, it can be stated with certainty that he is the first bishop of whom there is any record.
