Enrique Sáiz Aparicio (born December 1, 1889, in Ubierna, Burgos; died October 2, 1936, in Madrid) was a Spanish priest, a Salesian of Don Bosco (SDB), a Christian martyr, and a blessed of the Roman Catholic Church. He was born on December 1, 1889, and baptized the following day. At the age of 16, he felt a calling to religious life. He was admitted to the novitiate in Sarrià, took his religious vows on September 5, 1909, and was ordained a priest on July 28, 1918. On October 2, 1936, he was shot by a militiaman during the religious persecution of the Spanish Civil War in Madrid. Enrique Sáiz Aparicio was beatified by Pope Benedict XVI on October 27, 2007, as part of a group of 498 Spanish martyrs.
