Saint Gwenaseth ach Rhufon

Biography

Gwenaseth was a saint of the late 5th century and one of the few native saints of Gwynedd. She was the daughter of Rhufon ap Cunedda Wledig. She married Pabo Post Prydain, a chieftain of Rheged who lost his lands to the Picts and Scots and fled to Anglesey. They had several children, including Dunod Fawr. It is believed that Gwenaseth and Pabo were buried in Llanerchymedd.
