Gregory IV the Teacher (born Gheorghe, 1765, Bucharest – June 22, 1834, Bucharest) was the Metropolitan of Ungro-Wallachia, enthroned on January 11, 1823, and serving until his death. He was canonized as a saint by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church during its October 2005 session, under the title Saint Hierarch Gregory the Teacher, with his feast day celebrated on June 22.
