Biography

Germán Gozalbo Andreu (born August 30, 1913, died September 22, 1936) was a Spanish Catholic priest and a blessed of the Catholic Church. He was ordained a priest just a few weeks before his death. He was a victim of anti-Catholic religious persecution during the Spanish Civil War. Germán Gozalbo Andreu was beatified by Pope John Paul II on March 11, 2001, as a martyr killed in hatred of the faith (Latin: odium fidei) among a group of 232 companions of José Aparicio Sanz.
