Genaro Fueyo Castañón (born January 23, 1864, in Linares; died October 20, 1936, in Madrid) was a Spanish priest, a victim of the Spanish Civil War, and a blessed of the Catholic Church. He was born on January 23, 1864, in southern Spain. In 1899, he became the parish priest in Nembra, where his hard work transformed the parish into a center of social and religious life. On October 20, 1936, he was imprisoned and murdered in his parish alongside Isidro Fernández and Segundo Alonso González. His beatification process began in 1991. In 2016, Pope Francis signed a decree recognizing his martyrdom. On October 8 of that same year, the solemn beatification of Genaro and his companions took place at the Cathedral of Oviedo, presided over by Cardinal Angelo Amato.
