Blessed Gérard-Martin Cendrier

Gérard-Martin Cendrier, born on June 16, 1920, in Paris and died on January 25, 1945, was a Catholic religious figure who was persecuted, deported, and died in a concentration camp during the Second World War. He is one of the fifty martyrs for the faith who died as a result of Nazi Germany's persecution of Catholicism and its practice. Gérard Cendrier was declared venerable by the Church and is one of the fifty French martyrs of the Second World War beatified on December 13, 2025, during a mass at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
