Biography
Florencia Caerols Martínez was a Catholic martyr killed during the Spanish Civil War. Single and very active in her parish, she worked as a catechist in the region. After her execution, her executioners reportedly said that before dying, Florencia Martínez forgave them and commended them to the Sacred Heart. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on March 11, 2001.
