Eugénie Maskiewicz (in religion Sister Marie-Canisia), born on November 27, 1903, in Suwałki, Poland, and died on August 1, 1943, near Nowogródek (Poland, now Belarus), was a Polish nun who was executed by firing squad by the Gestapo along with her ten other martyr companions of Nowogródek. She was beatified on March 5, 2000, by John Paul II in Rome.
