Biography
Esteve Casadevall i Puig (Argelaguer, March 6, 1913 – Barbastro, August 13, 1936) was a Claretian religious. He is venerated as a blessed by the Catholic Church. He entered the Claretian college in Cervera and continued his studies in Alagón, Barbastro, and Vic. At the beginning of the Spanish Civil War, he was executed alongside his community companions by anarchist militiamen. On October 25, 1992, he was beatified by Pope John Paul II.
