Venerable Dalmat of Perm

Dalmat of Iset (Dalmat of Perm, born Dmitry Ivanovich Mokrinsky; 1594, Beryozovo — June 25 (July 5), 1697, Dalmatovsky Dormition Monastery) was the founder of the Dalmatovsky Dormition Monastery. The settlement that emerged near the monastery received the status of a district town in 1781 and was named Dalmatovo in his honor. He is a venerable saint of the Russian Orthodox Church (canonized in 2004 as a locally venerated saint of the Kurgan and Shadrinsk Diocese). His feast days (according to the Julian calendar) are June 10 (Synaxis of Siberian Saints) and June 25. In 2013, the Bishops' Council approved his veneration throughout the entire Church.
