Columba Kang Wan-suk was a Korean Christian laywoman and catechist martyr, born in 1761 in Naepo, Chungcheong, Korea, and died by beheading on July 2, 1801, in Seoul. Her martyrdom is recognized by the Catholic Church, and she is titled Venerable. She was later beatified by Pope Francis on August 16, 2014. Blessed Columba Kang Wan-suk is commemorated individually on July 2 and on September 20 with the Martyrs of Korea.
