Saint Bazol z Limoges

Feast day: November 26

Biography

Basolus of Limoges (died c. 620) was a soldier and a saint of the Catholic Church. According to tradition, inspired by the miracles occurring at the tomb of Saint Remigius in Reims, he decided to lead a monastic life. He was directed by the Bishop of Reims to the monastery in Verzy, and later settled in a nearby hermitage. An abbey grew up around his tomb. His relics were translated several times. His feast day is November 26.
