Saint Baudime d'Auvergne
Biography
Saint Baudime of Auvergne, also known as Baudimius, Baudenius, Baudelius, Baudèle, Bauzély, Bauzile, Beauzire, or Boil, was a companion of Nectarius of Auvergne, with whom he is said to have evangelized the Dores and Dômes region at the end of the 3rd century. Saint Baudime is reputed to have slain a dragon. His feast day is June 2. He is said to have subsequently retired with Nectarius and Auditor near the church they had built on Mount Cornadore, on the site of a place of worship dedicated to Irminsul, or perhaps a temple dedicated to Hermes-Apollo.
