Biography
Barbe Cui Lianzhi was born in 1849 in Liushuitao, China. She was killed during the Boxer Rebellion in 1900 because she had embraced the Catholic faith. She was canonized on October 1, 2000, by Pope John Paul II, along with the 120 Martyrs of China. Her feast day is celebrated annually on June 15.
