Saint Arcade de Novgorod

Arcady of Novgorod (died 1163) was Bishop of Novgorod and the successor of Niphon, as well as the first bishop elected by the city's veche. His feast days are September 18 (dormition) and February 10 (Synaxis of the Bishops of Novgorod). After serving as hegumen of the Dormition Monastery in Novgorod, he was elected bishop of the city.
