Venerable Alfons ze Zurity

Alfonso de Zurita was a Mexican religious of the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy. He was a sincere and public defender of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and became the first provincial in Mexico. A man of great contemplation and penance, he predicted his own death. His feast day is celebrated on June 6.
