Biography
Athanasius of Vysotsky (the Younger) (secular name Ammos; died 1395) was a venerable saint of the Russian Church. He was a disciple of the first abbot of the Serpukhov Vysotsky Monastery, Saint Athanasius of Vysotsky (the Elder), and served as the monastery's second abbot. His feast day is celebrated on September 12 (25), the same day as his teacher, and he is also commemorated in the Synaxis of the Saints of Radonezh, Moscow, and Rostov.
